The jewel of the University of Idaho’s lush, landscaped campus is the 63-acre UI Arboretum and Botanical Garden which fills the valley south of the President’s Residence on Nez Perce Drive — against a backdrop of the tilled, rolling Palouse hills.

Find hard-to-find, unusual, and new rose plants. Included in paid admission; members free. Join us for a fun and festive hands-on workshop celebrating the Lunar New Year. 2-3:0pm. Arboretum Tour. The loop distance around the Arboretum is approximately 1.4 miles of gradual declines and inclines. Short distances from the paths are benches where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery. The main trail is a gravel road with a few significant slopes which can be challenging for anyone with disabilities.
