As an aside, I did find that if I use a simple watch face that rotating my wrist turned the watch face on quickly, pretty much every single time, more so than screens with several "complications".

I know on the phone it's so much faster on device vs. relying on the query getting sent somewhere to be analyzed, which is annoying on the watch (first world problems I know).
