The “Powered By Apache” logo was created in 2014 to celebrate the Apache Software Foundation's 15th Anniversary and promote the ASF's then-more than 200 projects. The logo was updated in January 2016 to reflect the new ASF brand identity.

Viewers of Apache project logos should always have a clear understanding that the logo refers to the actual Apache project (community) or software product (actual download), and not to some third party organization or product.
