2012年8月26日 · barbaranna, I have only a 3-inch scar that looks like a papercut. Many patients with anterior procedures or "mini-posterior" have relatively small scars. Ask your surgeon how large the scar will be and HOW it will be closed -- stitches, staples, tape, or glue. Mine was glue, and there was nothing to remove -- no stitches, no staples, no nothing.

I feel strong, can walk as far as I want - but do experience some discomfort on occasion (especially after sitting for an extended period), have been riding a bicycle, etc.

2009年7月27日 · I started massaging my scar with Vit E oil this week. My physical therapist recommended it. It does help break up the scar tissue. So far, it looks really good. I am 4 1/2 weeks out from surgery, so we'll see how it goes. It does look a lot better because it was kind of dry before I used the oil.
