ANSEP is a University of Alaska academic program offered at UAF and UAA. ANSEP inspires, educates, and propels students forward. By infusing the fundamental values of Community, Family and Collaboration into all elements of the program, ANSEP builds a welcoming university environment and provides a cornerstone for success.

UAF's ANSEP program is divided into Undergraduate and Graduate groups. Both undergraduates and graduate students must be enrolled in a STEM feild of study to be in the program.

To qualify for an ANSEP semester scholarship, most students will have participated in at least one ANSEP "Pre-College" Program, which includes Middle School Academy, Acceleration Summer Academy, Acceleration High School, and/or Summer Bridge.

The Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) started at UAA in 1995 with a single student and later in 2002 at UAF. ANSEP is a longitudinal education model that provides a continuous string of components beginning with students in the sixth grade.

The University Success program at UAF ANSEP provides students with support, community and opportunities within their area of study. Aspects of ANSEP University Success include: Study groups for 100 and 200 level Chemistry and Math students ; Scholarships provided to all ANSEP accepted scholars based on longevity

Participating in study groups is an important activity in ANSEP. They are NOT passive tutorials or recitations but are rather a mechanism to actively learn material through group problem solving.

2018年4月17日 · Kirk and about 20 other students are currently part of ANSEP, a program within UAF’s College of Natural Science and Mathematics. ANSEP focuses on helping Alaska Natives, especially those from rural areas, succeed in college and prepare for careers in science, technology, engineering and math fields.
