The ACTFL Test of English Proficiency (TEP) is an, English language proficiency assessment that brings together three of ACTFL’s internationally recognized assessments (L&Rcat™, OPIc™, WPT™) to provide a valid and reliable measure of language proficiency in listening, reading, speaking and writing.

Revised ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines Released
The 2024 revisions improve clarity and accessibility and enhance the utility of the Guidelines by aligning them to key documents, such as the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, the ACTFL Performance Descriptors for Language Learners, and the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements.
