2000年4月1日 · The latest demonstration of Neve’s touch is the Amek 9098i, a large-format recording and mixing console described by Amek as “the last word, from our point of view, in analog consoles.” Since the 9098i’s official launch at last fall’s AES convention, Amek has installed more than a dozen units.

Amek was a brilliant and somewhat confusing company formed in the early 70's building recording and broadcast consoles. TAC was the live console and semi pro brand. Harman bought the company in the late 90's and dropped Amek as a brand in 2005 in favour of Soundcraft.

Following the success of the Angela music recording console in the 1980’s, Amek introduced the BC2 as a small broadcast desk towards the end of the decade. These were made to the client’s requirements, and were not cheap, – typically a 10 or 12-2 would have cost in excess of £10,000.
