building up a 199 6cyl - The AMC Forum
2015年3月24日 · Naw, you do not have to worry about building a 199 into something that would HAVE to turn 7000 rpm. Essentially due to the weeny little carburetor and the purely gutless cam it has it has almost no torque in the first place.

2019年9月24日 · When I worked in the old AMC dealership shop one of our older couple customers came in with their later 60s American. They drove it to California and back to Iowa. I'd need a later 80's AMC or Jeep TSM or at least the date code sequence to tell for sure. Joe Edited by pacerman - Mar/29/2014 at 12:00pm

2025年1月31日 · The Renix uses a different type of crankshaft position sensor (CPS) that is essentially a coil. It doubles as an RPM indicator, hence the spaces/notches all around. I6 232 ?s - The AMC Forum
2009年11月30日 · The 232 is a solid work-horse! I love them, the 258 and the later offshoot, the 4.0 liter. No harder to rebuild than ANY inline 6, and you might find less wear than with some.

2025年1月19日 · I recently purchased a 63' Classic 660 with the 195.6 OHV that had been sitting for quite a long time. In short, I've retorqued the head bolts, adjusted the valves, installed a new Carter YF clone carb, fiddled with timing, did brake work, and it runs great.
