I’m a previous area manager and I’m trying to get back in as a level 2. When I first started, me and another level 2 manager started at the same time, we were on the same team but he had prior experience with another Amazon building hence they offered him more salary wise.

Area managers do not make that much.. like at all lol. Starting is 60k if you're lucky. They are actually, very underpaid. Working 12 hour days and doing way too much for being on salary. They do get RSU's but the amount is dependent on the offer they are given. However, yes everyone especially hourly should be paid more for all that you do.

In Q3/4 of 2021 Amazon introduced the L4-L7 Field Ops Transfer policy which restricts certain roles such as Area Manager from transferring to another role* in less than a year. You have to now stay at your site for a year prior to being able to transfer.

2021年6月13日 · L5 is still an AM position but pay bump and salary increase, L6/L7 is where "Operations Manager" starts, and can have a significant pay increase (my friend would be getting a 60% increase by the end of next year), but at that point you probably commit to the job and your hours would increase significantly.

I just got my offer letter from Amazon as an L4 Area Manager (University Hire) and idk I'm not exactly happy with my salary. I'm in FL and the state have a extremely have a High COL and rent. Even when moving away from South FL, I was surprised to read my offer letter has the lowest/minimum in terms of salary of 62.5k.

Your keep trying to compare a 40hr a week job salary to a 59 hour work week with 19 hours of overtime which isn’t guaranteed at every site. I was a production supervisor prior to Amazon and wanted to get away from having to worry about people and just worry about me doing my job.
