2021年9月20日 · Ahgase comes from the typical Korean way of shortening by taking the first syllable from each word. In Korean, “I GOT 7” is written “아이 갓 세븐” -> 아갓세 (ah-gat-se) with first syllable only, and then 아가세 (ah-ga-se) when you say it faster :)

Ahgase (아가세) is just a kind of syllabic contraction of the Korean pronunciation of IGOT7(아이갓세븐) and it also doubles to mean baby bird (아가 새) because it sounds the same. But it's not country-specific as OP asked. It's been adopted everywhere.
