Khandaker Abdur Rashid is a Bangladeshi fugitive and former officer of the Bangladesh Army who was a key organizer of the 15 August 1975 coup d'état. [1] [2]

Khandakar Abdur Rashid (Bengali: খন্দকার আব্দুর রশীদ), better known as Abdur Rashid Tarkabagish (Bengali: আব্দুর রশীদ তর্কবাগীশ; 27 November 1900 – 20 August 1986) was a Bangladeshi politician and Islamic scholar.

Qais Abdur Rashīd or Qais Abdul Rasheed (Pashto: قيس عبد الرشيد) is said to be, in post-Islamic lore, the legendary founding father of the Pashtuns. [1][2] It is believed that the conception of such a figure was promoted to bring harmony between religious and ethnic identities post-Arabic influence over the region. [3] .
