The ACRRM Fellowship application and selection process is designed to ensure we have the right doctors, in the right places, with the right skills to provide rural and remote communities with excellent healthcare. The next intake opens on 8 April 2025.

Our purpose-built ACRRM Online Learning platform enables you to maintain or extend your skills from anywhere in the world, at any time. ACRRM members can access an extensive catalogue of free self-directed courses that are mapped to the Rural Generalist Curriculum.

The ACRRM CPD framework is designed to meet the needs of Rural Generalists (RGs), rural and remote doctors, General Practitioners (GPs), and most other health practitioners. The framework fosters a ‘smarter not harder’ approach, recognising activities that you are already doing.

ACRRM accredits training posts for CGT in regional, rural or remote areas of Australia. Accredited posts include general practices, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical services, hospitals, emergency departments and retrieval services.

Feb 13, 2025 · ACRRM is on the verge of celebrating the recognition of Rural Generalist Medicine (RGM) as a specialist field within general practice. The Medical Board of Australia has assessed the RGM application and will recommend specialist recognition and title approval through the Health Ministers.
