2014年3月23日 · I ask because I recently had my A/C system repaired. The refrigerant had all leaked out because of a tear in a hose. Instead of replacing the hose, which would have been very costly, my indie mechanic sent the hose to an A/C specialist who repaired it. The system was then recharged with refrigerant and all is working well now.

2006年6月19日 · Yes, did you have success with the sealant? I have been trying to figure out where my leak is recently. I put a 4 oz can of stop leak lubricating stuff, similar to some listed in the article. The A/C stays charged for about 24hr, then leaks out under the car near the tranny. So I am sure that is where the drain tube is for the evaporator.

2022年9月10日 · Can someone suggest the best leak sealer out there that will plug those ultra small leaks? I have a 2003 S500 with 97000 miles. The A/C stopped working a couple of years ago and got it to work for sometime and then one of the mechanics said there was an issue and suggested I replace the entire system for $3500.

2020年10月5日 · Sometimes the leak occurs when the refrigerant is under high pressure, meaning when the a/c system is running, and compressor compressing the refrigerant. These are very difficult to detect with a gas detector, due to the fan running and blowing the leaking refrigerant around. Look for signs of refrigerant oil leakage. at the joints with o-rings.

2010年6月6日 · So I bought an A/C gauge set and a vacuum pump. Before replacing anything I thought I will try out the Super Seal Pro A/C Leak Repair Kit. According to its instructions, I first checked the status. The AC was not holding a vacuum for even a few minutes. According to the kit’s manual, the leak was too big to be fixable by the sealer.
