5D vs 80 Percent Arms - AR15.COM
2021年1月22日 · I bought mine from 5D in December 2020. The router plate was nylon and the legs were skeletonized. I have replaced the 3/8" "hardened" steel bushings in the 5D legs as well as the machine screws that hold everything together to flat head socket capscrews. I'm going to replace the bushings in the 80% Arms as soon as I get a chance.

2015年6月22日 · According to 80% Arms' documentation, the only lower that isn't compatible is the New Frontier billet. As far as I know, the rest of the well known billet/forged 80% are good to go. Modulus Arms may also be incompatible with this, but I don't recall seeing it posted anywhere on their site at the time I did my project.

2015年5月28日 · The 80% arms lower is 6061-T6 aluminum, but the one I am about to start is the 7075-T6. From reading it sounds like the 7075-T6 will be a little harder to drill, but will give it a go. Anyway, really nice work, thanks for sharing, and Happy Shooting!

2014年10月14日 · Modulus Arms is new to the 80% lower jig manufacturers. Their Modulus Arms Universal AR-15 80% Lower Receiver Jig is unique in many ways. This is my fourth jig (yeah I know) and I've found that not every lower fits every jig ... until now. Because of the way Modulus Arms jig is designed it appears that they've solved that problem.

2020年2月16日 · On all of my “80%” lowers I install the Rise RA-140 Drop In trigger (cassette type) and I use KNS Anti Rotation/Anti Walk pins. The best version of the KNS pins is offered by Spike’s Tactical. They offer both standard KNS pins and a version I haven’t seen available anywhere else, the hammer and trigger pins are melonited.

2019年8月25日 · Milled out this Tennessee Arms lower a couple of weeks ago and built it as an AR 9 with a 16" barrel. This is what happened after about 250 rounds. In comparison, I finished a neon green EP Armory polymer lower that has had over 1,000 rounds through it without issue.

Even the older model router jigs like the original generation Modulus and 80% Arms EZ Jig were designed for 1/4" router bits and the top plate area space on the jigs ...

2018年11月10日 · I do not own a 80% Arms Jig. I own a 5D Tactical. When I was buying my jig I ruled several out right away. My reasoning is I wanted the lower held into the jig firmly and wanted to be confident in the registration of the lower to jig to router.
