The original American Showster “company got started in about 1984 in Maplewood NJ. It was started by Rick Excellente, who was originally from the Jersey Shore. I worked at the Maplewood store front, building the 57 Chevy guitars until we moved to Palisades Park NJ, into a factory setting. The Maplewood store as a regular music store.

1990's American Showster AS-57 vintage guitar, looks just like the side of a 1957 Chevy Belair. These are getting quite rare and the last red one went for over $9k on Ebay. Near mint condition with the exception of 3 tiny cracks in the pickguard and molding as noted in the pics.
