Jan 5, 2009 · I had replaced the fluid on my 2005 NV5600 with Mopar 4874464 a year ago. The transmission worked exactly as before the change. Rockwall Dodge replaced a leaking front transmission seal and topped up my transmission with Mopar 4874459. The transmission clashes a little unless I REALLY baby it. The dealer parts guy says the fluids are equivalent.

Jan 22, 2007 · "Synchromesh" fluid is for the specifications of GM 9985648 (part numbers 12345349 and 12345577) and Chrysler MS9224 (part Number 4874464), a fluid that specs out at 9.X viscosity at 100C. Pennzoil Synchromesh, Amsoil MTF, and RP Synchromax fluids are direct replacements for the GM "Synchromesh" fluid found at GM dealers.

Nov 18, 2002 · I finally found a reference for the differentials- you are correct, 75W-90 is good. Still can't find a generic recommendation for the 5-speed box, just the proprietary "MoPar MTF 4874464." The transfer case takes "MoPar ATF+4 Typ 9602." Whatever those are.....
