That said, the .358 bore and bullet is at its most reliable at impact velocities of 1800fps (400 yards) and above. Note that the velocity of the .358 Norma loaded with 200 grain bullets is similar to Hornady’s .35 Whelen 200 grain Superformance load. The .358 Norma works extremely well with the 220 grain Speer Flat point.

The way I see it, the 358 Win is perfect for the kind of dense woods hunting likely to be found when west of the cascade range, and equally good for everything, be it deer, bear, elk, cougar, you name it.

2007年8月23日 · Light, agile, great handling and when loaded with Hornady's Leverevolution 200gr. ammo, deadly out to about 200 yards. I want to start reloading using the FTX bullet from Hornady in 200 grain but I can't find any load data that matches the factory velocity of 2225fts.
