After World War 2, he located in Munnerstadt, West Germany.The 3 barrel shotgun is a little uncommon, although not unheard of. Are you sure the bottom barrel is not a rifle calibre.That would be more common. For some time.
Looking for information on an old Rival No. 3 Double Barrel
Mar 2, 2009 · Hi guys, I just picked up an old 12 gauge double barrel. It is branded Rival No. 3 and has Pine Laminated on the top of the barrel rib. That's it! I'd like to know some info on this baby and also if I can shoot it or not. It locks up solid and seem nice and tight. It does have a small dent on the left barrel.

Dec 31, 2024 · 3 - "Victor" - "The American Gun Co"- 'New York' 12ga (28" barrels with bead sights), no other markings Each has a '12' inside a 1/4" circle stamped on the left side near the firing pin retainer. The barrels have no ejector never did. Actions appear to be cast with rough unfinished areas below barrel. Very crude looking overall.

Jan 8, 2012 · If you remove the forend of your Kettner drilling (3-bbl gun), and unhinge/dismount the barrels from the action - the proofmarks stamped into the metal should tell the tale. The smoothbore/shotgun barrels will have the gauge marked thereon, likewise the lower rifl bbl.

Apr 21, 2006 · It is sometimes called the Rider #3. The gun was produced from 1893 to 1903. Total production was 87,850. Serial number information is incomplete but it is believed numbers go into the 90,000 range. I have serial number 56,980 and 76,013 both in 12 gauge. The gun cost $10 new. The gun was made in numerous gauges, barrel lengths and chamber lengths.

Mar 12, 2024 · You are missing a very important third party in the multi-barrel sets. Winchester diamond grade 4-barrel sets were far more famous than Brownings or SKBs. Winchester skeet sets with 26-1/2" and 28-inch barrels is the company everyone copied, that includes Classic Doubles of which I favor over the others.

Dec 11, 2014 · Quite a few 'standard' 2-3/4" 870s went out with 3" ejectors and ejector springs even back into the '70s. Just before Remington quit making 2-3/4" models, I suspect almost all of them had the 3" parts. Other than the 3" ejector and spring, the receivers are identical.

Dec 5, 2003 · My manual states that the barrel label should read 2 3/4" AND 3" SIZE for my FIELD model. This would be to distinguish it from the SPORT model of the same name that takes ONLY 2 3/4" SIZE. Something tells me this type of labeling is probably introducing an industry standard listing MAX SIZE on certain makes...
