2022年10月15日 · If I'm understanding you correctly a two fan gpu will not be able to truly reach its said gpu level. Right now I have a 1080 three fan gpu and was wondering if its worth upgrading if I'm not going to get the best preference out of the 3050 gpu.

Here is my recent experience with my MSI 1070ti (2 fan) and MSI 2080 (3 fan) (both old cards so not relevant to new cards) Both fans had bearing failures. I replaced the fans on the 1070ti and replaced the ball bearings on the 2080. With the 2080 under kombustor stress test, my GPU temp was 83 and hot spot 107 C even under some gaming conditions.

2022年4月1日 · Typically the GPU’s that have three fans are more powerful than two fan GPU’s and draw more power. In other words you shouldn’t expect two fans in a GPU that need three. So don’t worry about it. It’s not something you can choose.

2024年2月23日 · 3 fan variants usually have a larger cooler and well- 3 fans. So overall they typically have more cooling capacity. The only reason you might want a 2 fan variant is if your case is small and you can't fit the 3 fan variant.

2022年7月30日 · It looks like the case supports long GPUs as long as the lower 3.5" hard drive mount is not used. Cooling won't be great with the overall design of the case, but there is a fan in the front of case that will blow some air underneath the GPU, which will help some. I don't think airflow will be worse with a 3-fan GPU compared to 2-fan GPU.

It's not the number of fans, it's the length of the GPU. The specs on your case will say how long a GPU it can take. Compare that to the listed length of your chosen GPU. If you don't have the case specs, measure the distance that the GPU will occupy in the case.
