Jan 30, 2008 · All testing was done on our shop MR2-S which has a high mile stock 2ZZ engine swapped in to it. The turbo kit is just our off the shelf unit which in Spyder trim means it's breathing through a very civilized chambered 2.5" muffler. Results in the Celica are similar.

Sep 18, 2007 · The example I keep coming back to is the GT2860RS, which is probably the most commonly used and widely recommended turbo for the 2ZZ and other small engines. If someone says they want 300 whp, people recommend the GT2860RS without even thinking twice about it.

C2Power keeps blowing bearings (I think) and the fact of the matter is that the compression of the 2zz that makes lift so fun is also what keeps it from being a decent engine to turbo. The one upside is that the rods are ginormous. If you wanna go turbo, get a 1zz and Stage 2 or 3 kit from C2Power.

Nov 8, 2013 · Turbo is a GTX2863r rated for 430hp. It falls short for my power goal, but using E85 I can realistically make 460-480whp @ 20-22 psi. I'm hoping to make power past 8500rpm, but since I'm pushing past the efficiency island on this turbo I don't know where that will take me.

Prefer to keep the 1zz-fe engine because cheaper than buying a 2zz-ge engine and doing a rebuild then putting it in, then s/c on the 2zz-ge. Want a least 250whp from 1zz-fe (because will be turbo). Or 240-250whp 2zz-ge supercharger.
