It sounds like you're close: allow the Uverse to assign a LAN IP to the Linksys, and then configure the Uverse DMZ for that IP. From the Linksys, the LAN IP will show up on the WAN port, and then you can configure tomato however you want for the rest of your network.

Comcast had simple hardware compared to what I see now with Uverse. Comcast had a simple modem, which connected to a separate router.

2019年1月20日 · Unplug any computers or other devices from the 2wire (except the router) and power cycle the 2wire. Make sure you have the 2wire ethernet going to the linksys WAN port (or just one of the ethernet ports if you want the 2wire to do all of the routing, in which case you'll need to turn dhcp and routing off in the linksys).

resmon6 is quite correct. Those are the needed steps. Note, however, that these 2wire routers tend to "forget" the routing for sleeping devices. My experience has been that I can successfully send the magic packet (Wake-on-LAN activating packet) to my sleeping devices only during the first 20 minutes or so of them going to sleep.

2009年5月28日 · Yes I did it. I subscribed to UVERSE. I was told that I would enjoy all the current features of my current home router with the new service. After initial set up and many calls Uverse says in order for me to use home network and share out my printer as well as communicate between the 5 computers in my home that I will have to pay for set up.

I was thinking about swapping to a Netgear WNDR4000 N750 Wireless Router instead of the Uverse router but want to know if thats possible. Any help would be really appreciated.

I would like to configure AT&T's hardware to have less control and use my trusted Linksys WRT54-G router between my computers and the 2Wire Gateway. This seems to be a common configuration for Uverse users with this hardware in other forums, but requires a "DMZPlus" mode that I'm unfamiliar with.
