2012年11月6日 · I have shot 7 bucks with my .270 WSM and 6 dropped in their tracks and 1 ran about 50 yards shooting ballistic silvertips. I started off shooting 130 grain, but switched to 150 grain for better grouping. My gun has a minimal kick. I love shooting it. Great caliber. The only drawback is the cost of the ammo.

I love the 270 WSM and mine shoots 1 hole groups at 100 with Win Supreme 780 and 150gr ABLR's (have to eventually find another powder as it's been discontinued, but I still have a couple of pounds) when I do my part.

I have lots of additional powder capacity in my cartridges if needed, and easily and safely reached the the factory 6.8 Western velocities without issue. A big advantage in just rebarreling a 270 WSM with a high twist using SAAMI spec, the cost is minimal.

2009年12月16日 · Magpro is the velocity king in the 270 WSM as far as I'm concerned, I maxed out at 3420FPS with 140 gr bullets but could not get the accuracy and SD I was looking for so I just stay with Retumbo, extremely low SD with max speed and accuracy I go from shooting in -20 to 90 degrees with this load and see no changes!

My two pet loads for my Winchester Featherweight 270 WSM are. 66gr H4831SC, Nosler 130 Accubond, CCI 250 primers, .075" off lands 66gr H1000, Nosler 150 Partition, CCI 250 primers, .015" off lands I got very lucky, both these loads shoot same POI in my rifle @200 yards
