It usually happens around the 40mph range and periodically after that. I have to press the gas pedal in order to get it to stop. It's almost as if the vehicle needs to down shift but it's not.

A couple months later I had a issue with the coolant leaking into the engine. They replaced it late 2018 under Warranty at 99, 000 KM with a new long box.

Got a Vette for when I have the need for speed! I know the 2.5 engine has been used by Ford for many years, with minor variations through the years.

I've decided to purchase a low mileage replacement engine and have the old one removed and replaced with the replacement. I know the shop will charge by a certain amount of hours it takes to do the R&R.

2016年4月29日 · The 8th digit in the VIN indicates the engine type. On my 2016 Escape, with the 2.0, that digit is a "9." I don't know if that carries over to the 2017s or not.

2022年1月1日 · A P1299 code came up on my 2015 1.6 engine, along with the "Engine high temp, pull over safely" on the display and the temp gauge pegged high. After some research I changed the coolant temp sensor located on the "back" of the engine, meaning the the driver side. When diagnosing, I tried to clear the code and it wouldn't clear.
