2022年12月30日 · The 1975 No S Proof Dimes were struck with regular Proof Dies for that year, with the exception that the obverse die lacked the S mint mark. The only example graded is a PCGS PR68 that was submitted to PCGS in June 2011.

2017年2月4日 · If you scroll through the years beginning with 1968S and ending with 1990S, you will find a number of listings with "No S" listed for one of the coins. You see, all of the proof coins are supposed to have the mintmark for San Francisco (S), but in a few cases, a proof die was used that did not bear the mintmark.

On ebay one finds the words "very rare" " uncirculated" " not graded" prices go from $10.00 to $300.00 but the one that takes the cake is in Pinterest a whopping $500,000.00

2023年10月26日 · Philadelphia minted coins did not have a mint mark until 1980, with a few exceptions. There were 585,673,900 dimes minted in Philly with no mint mark in 1975. The rare one is a 1975 proof dime, which is meant to have an S mint mark for San Francisco. Only two are known to exist with the mint mark missing.

2012年6月5日 · As Rick pointed out, no mint on business strike dimes are Philadelphia coins. They didn't start adding the P mint mark until the late 70s, like 79 with SBA dollars. Also the dimes without mint marks, and highly sought after are proof dimes struck IN San Francisco, in 1968, 1970, 1975, and 1983, as well as some business strikes in 1982.

2025年1月10日 · If it was a 1975 SF minted dime without a mint mark, why a whole year's date difference? It would have had to be a 1975 SF dime minted the whole year prior missing it's mint mark that somehow a year later was included into a 1976 proof set. I can accept missing it's mint mark, but totally different year productions also? What are the odds?
