2011年11月27日 · I own a Yamaha G100-112, too. It's loaded with an old EV 12L speaker, which makes it pretty heavy. But the sound is really great. I get alot of compliments on the sound. It doesn't only give a good jazz sound, it's great for any style. And with the parametric eq you can notch out those low feed back frequencys when playing with an archtop.

2016年4月19日 · I thought I'd finally contribute to this thread about Yamaha G100 amps. Back in March of 2015, I purchased the Yamaha G100-112ii (circa 1980) previously owned by the OP (Frank aka FEP). See posts #45 and #81. Frank had the amp serviced before the sale and I picked it up when I was visiting San Diego. It is a terrific sounding solid state amp.

Being the proud owner of a Paul Rivera era Fender Concert, I was naturally drawn to the G100-II & G50-II amps. I found a G100-112 II and it quickly became my go-to amp.

2017年6月21日 · I just received my second Yamaha g100-112 series II amp in the mail, purchased on ebay. I note that this one has a an original plywood case, not particle board....my other yamaha g50-112 series II has particle board! WOW they sound fantastic. Solid state amps without a transformer are very different animals than these earlier solid state amps.

2016年4月19日 · I figured out the 4 cable method for use with my Yamaha G100-112 Series 3. I had to use the knobs on the effects (on the back of the amp). Played with a keyboard friend and the amp sounded fantastic at any volume and now we will be practicing every week.

2012年2月29日 · Yamaha has always gone for a sound that enhances the instrument. The G50 used their own JFET transistors, which have a more tube-like sound than standard transistors. I recently had mine in the shop for a check-up and cleaning, prior to selling it, and the tech said he really liked its clean sound, and that it really sounded like a Class-A tube ...

2014年4月24日 · He should have just bought a G100-112 and left this one alone. Then he painted a piece of plywood black and totally covered the rear of the amp. Then to add further insult to this amp, he removed the Yamaha emblem from the front (trashed that too, apparently), removed the stock grille cloth and put black grille cloth on her.

2019年8月6日 · The g100 head is alot longer than the electronics in the g100-112. The g100 has 2 independent channels like a fender twin, so is longer. So i have ended up with a smaller package. The g100 head as in the uk sounds awesome too.
