2022年5月24日 · I remember how I heard about “pig nose”. It was when I got my G17. I was proud of my new pistol, one of the first run of OD green frames. Decided to put a pic up of it. One of the first comments was along the lines of “Nice. Too bad it has pig nose”. A quick Google revealed the petty nature of the complaint.

2017年4月3日 · I just do not understand why everyone loves to find a little difference and then develop it into a flaw. These pistols are workhorse shooters. If you are worried about pig nose fix it with a heat gun and your done. Glock 19 is one of the most versatile reliable pistols on the plant. Insert mag pull trigger and repeat.

2017年6月29日 · It is all cosmetic only. However, if you want to flatten the dustcover, search youtube for "Glock pig nose" and watch those videos. I put the front of the frame into a baggy to prevent frame exposure to hot water. Then I dip the baggy/frame dust cover into water that's at lower than boiling temperature for about a minute.

2012年10月12日 · I was bored, I had two pig-nosed Glocks, I wondered why anyone would boil a frame. I wondered if it would stay "straightened". Then, I thought I'd share. That is the point of these forums, right? Now, as to the results. I was amazed. Both of my Glocks are 9mm, a 19 and a 17. Since straightening the nose, they both display the ballistics of a 10mm.
