2022年10月27日 · MakeMKV groups them by language first, beginning with your prefered language. You can try distinguishing between forced/non-forced with MediaInfo. The Tree view shows you the "number of elements" for each subtitle. Forced subtitles should have a relatively small number of elements, compared to "full" subtitles.

MakeMKV does a pretty good job telling you which tracks are forced subs, the Blu-ray standard is more strict here than DVD's are where the forced subs can be anywhere.

This is directly ripped from my 4K blu-ray of Mad Max Fury Road with MakeMKV and untouched by anything else. I'm on Windows 11, I have an Alienware AW3423DW (OLED, 3440x1440, HDR monitor), and I play the mkv file directly from Windows Explorer (I don't usually watch it on Plex or anything like that, even though I have one).

2021年11月25日 · PGS subtitles can still be saved as a separate subtitle file (.sub, .sup or .mks), but you will notice that the file size of such a file is considerably larger than an equivalent SRT file. That is because it is a series of image overlays and not text characters. If the subtitles aren't found online, you should give SubExtractor a go.
