I need this because I'm using various background programs and access shared files in the laptop from another computer, but I don't need the laptop's screen to be simultaneously open and as such waste precious battery.

2020年11月24日 · 1.Open the start menu/desktop search bar and search for "Change screen saver" 2.Under Screen saver, there is an option to wait for "x" minutes to show the log off screen. Uncheck the checkbox, and you should be able to prevent your computer from logging off. You may need your IT dept to log you in for this setting change.

2015年12月21日 · My 5 year old daughter watches videos, etc, then leaves for a bit, and when she goes back, my wife or I have to log her back onto the computer. It is annoying. Second, I had to give an email address with Windows 8 to set it up and didn't know that the whole family had to have my password to log onto the darn computer.

When I close the lid the login screen is activated. I close the lid very often and it is a big annoyance to have to constantly enter the password. I checked the screen saver settings and the "on reswume, display login screen" is not checked. I also have set the laptop to "do nothing" when I close the lid in power options.

The option that is currently available that can disable this widget feature is to disable the Lock screen status. Go to your Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > On "Choose one app to show detailed status on the lock screen" select None.

2015年11月29日 · I have a month-old new desktop which came with Windows 10 Pro already installed. Since installing the latest upgrade, I can't log off or shut down properly. When I try to log off I get stuck on the dark blue screen with the spinning circle. The only way to get back to Windows is to hit the reset button. This never happened until I did the upgrade.

2012年4月6日 · Original Title: Stuck in "logging off" I attempted to restart computer but it will not log off Windows 7..monitor has been running in "logging off" for over 2 hrs without shutting down computer..unable to process any keys, tried F8 in order to access safe mode. When I manually power off the monitor reads "putting in to power save mode". Help.
