They took JoJo way too seriously IMO, but it's interesting to see such a different take on the material.

2020年12月30日 · The new JoJo (2012) adapts the manga from the canonical beginning. It's the proper way to get into the anime. The 1993 JoJo adaptation was kinda mid arc, so it assumes you are familiar with the manga. There was a second JoJo OVA series in the 2000's that's ment to be paired with the 1993 OVA to make it a complete arc.

2021年12月12日 · Currently there are 2 OVA in JoJo media: -Stardust Crusaders OVA (1993-2000) by Studio APPP. 13 episodes -Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVA (2017-2019) by David Production. 4 episodes. Both of them is worth it on their own. Though if you just prefer the new stuff by DavidPro then Rohan OVA is for you.

Before anyone ask, the old hag appearance still in the OVA. She's merely transform into the younger form as an illusion. This is a design choice only seen in the OVA. In other JoJo media (anime, games) Enya always depicted as the old hag like in manga.

2021年12月17日 · What’s funny about that? He’s exactly right. The Jojo story is the comics Araki wrote and drew. Nothing else. The tv show and OVAs are adaptations of the source material. They are not the source material themselves. There’s nothing wrong with that and it doesn’t make them any less great.

2022年6月3日 · The part 3 ovas are 13 episoded released that go through the whole part, at first only the egypt arc was released then they released the from Jotaro cell to Egypt, with almost all secondary fight cut to win time the part 1 isn't an OVA but a movie made by the same studio, with very few clips, and no digital release, or Dvd or whatsoever, there isn't any thing for part 2 tho, …

2023年1月14日 · OVA, it does a better job of adapting Araki's part 3 style for animation without looking too stiff and off model in attempt to replicate Araki's manga style 1:1. In terms of overall experience though I would go with the new anime, just cause of the voice acting and how it adapts the entire thing.
