One entered his upper back and exited below his neck, albeit obscured by a tracheotomy. The other bullet struck Kennedy in the back of his head and exited the front of his skull in a large exit wound. The trajectory of the latter bullet was marked by bullet fragments throughout his brain.

In this paper, simple one-dimensional dynamical models are uniquely applied to study in detail the fatal shot and the motion of the President's head observed in the film.

This would be the crown of the head area, which is the head wound near the ruler in F5 known as the red spot. The red spot is the exit of the right temple hairline entry wound seen as a white circle in F8 .

On Nov. 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was brought to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas with severe bullet wounds to the head and neck, no palpable pulse, and agonal respiration.

The Zapruder film shows JFK receiving his head wound at frame 313. Using medical data from the House Select Committee on Assassination's (HSCA) Forensic Pathology Panel and Zapruder frame 312 (JFK's last known position before impact), a trajectory was plotted to determine the source of the shot.

The House Select Committee on Assassinations stated that, of the 26 witnesses at the autopsy who had given evidence, none agreed with the Dallas consensus of a large wound situated toward the back of President Kennedy’s head, which implied a shot from the front.
