If you downloaded FileZilla from one of the so-called "portable apps" collections, you need to contact your portable-apps vendor. If you did install FileZilla using the package manager of your distribution (e.g. on Linux), you need to contact your distributor.

You can either log everything into one big file, or let the server create a new logfile every day. Just enable 'Use a different logfile each day', and FileZilla Server will create logs in the format fzs-yy yy-mm-dd.log .

By using an FTP Client users can upload, download, delete, rename, move and copy files on a remote server. While FTP could be accessed via terminal, programs with a graphical user interface are preferred, and Filezilla Client represents an easy to use multiplatform solution.

If it is a special server type like an SFTP server, add the protocol in front of the address. In case of an SFTP server, start the address with 'sftp://' (e.g. sftp://example.com). Enter the port of the server into the port field if it is not the default port (21 for FTP, 22 for SFTP).
