2013年3月14日 · The paint was very translucent, so hiding took a LOT of paint- which introduced time for more errors and trash (a separate issue I was fighting). Another interesting thing was that the "base coat" paint included in the kit a "base coat convertor" chemical. So what I got was a single-stage paint with a convertor to base-coat, which didn't work well.

2010年5月26日 · Dont know about eastwood but the benefit is killer. Take a single stage paint. Lay 2 color coats, mix enough for 2 coats of 25% color single stage and 75% clear lay 2 medium coats. Let cure for 2 days. Wetsand with 1000 grit and put 2 coats of high solid clear and you will have a paint job the pros will like.

2010年3月25日 · I believe that Eastwood branded paints/coatings are made by various suppliers. It depends on what particular coating you are talking about. For example, the basecoat/clearcoat paints are probably not made by the same folks that make Detail Gray or Alumablast, and someone else makes the splatter paint, etc.

2024年5月20日 · I got both a silver and gold eastwood carb spray paint from a box of old paint stuff from a neighbor that passed away several year ago. Just a week or so back I used the last one painting some non-automotive brackets out in the garage. Color was not a concern. The can said they were acrylic enamel.

2005年3月30日 · I have used all but calyx, I just removed the manifolds off my 74 that I used vht 1500 degree cast paint 8 years ago and they look ok still, I used por on the elcamino 4 years ago they look better than the 74s, the eastwood stainless paint also held up fine I gave the unused portion to Dean for his 69 about 12 years ago.

2009年3月5日 · Lot of guys use Eastwood's. I used the GM paint, top coated with a clear satin finish to protect it from any water that may get in the trunk. Looks good it's held up good for several years and I do use my trunk, alot, coolers, junk, etc. Whatever you use prime with black primer first. The spatter paint will cover and look better.
