2008年11月28日 · To my horror, a new sound started in my car today. When I turned on the heater, the fan was very loud. There’s kind of a fluttering noise, like a paper caught in a fan and the overall fan noise is much louder, kind of howling. Worse with higher fan speed. The fan works fine, though. It does it on any temp, and also with the A/C.

2012年2月23日 · UPDATE: Got into the car today and everything worked. The fan came on and is working normal. How strange… it wasn’t working for two days and magically it worked today. This is puzzling. Some theories: ECU/ECM causing this. My car, 2007 Corolla, has a ECU recall that has not been performed. The recall is for a failing ECU that may stall the car.

2016年3月6日 · When the a/c fan is on any setting other than the highest setting the air comes out cold. When the fan is set to the highest setting, it only comes out warm. This happens regardless of a/c or max a/c setting, regardless of fresh or recirculated air, and regardless of car speed. (2005 Mustang GT)

2010年11月3日 · If the noise is constant I’d suspect the blower (fan), either bad bearings or the “squirrel cage” fan itself rubbing against its housing. If the noise only happens when you change settings on the HVAC controls, then I’d say it’s one of the doors (flaps) inside the system, and the noise occurs when the door moves.

2011年10月17日 · The fan is running as such a high speed you can hear it over the noise of the idling engine. Once I turn the car off the fan shuts off. Since we’ve owned the car there were two other issues First, the transmission pan gasket wasn’t properly installed and it was leaking transmission fluid. That issue was fixed and is good now.

2008年3月16日 · The cooling fan relay may be stuck. Look under the hood, in the relay box. The fan relay should be there, Often one relay is the same as another. If there is a relay like the fan relay, swap them. If the fan still runs, there is another problem.
