2008年4月1日 · Actually, I had a ported/milled Varner cylinder on my '01 YZ125. It was, hands-down, the fastest 125 I have ever ridden. I pulled good starts at Glen Helen on that bike against 250s and 450s. (Well, 426es.) Judging by all the issues that guy has had recently though, I wouldn't send my stuff to him.

2011年1月2日 · TL/DR: Putting a PWK with STIC on a newer YZ125 is not a quick bolt and go proposition. If that is what you desire you may find yourself very frustrated. Long version: Finding a well fitting PWK is no longer a struggle as Keihin now sells the PWK-AG (Air Guide) as an aftermarket carb.

2014年1月5日 · In the final stages of restoring my 97 YZ125. The slide in the carb is pretty worn to the point the majority of the chrome is flaked off the sides. The part is NLA from Yamaha, dosen’t cross reference with any other brands and Carb Parts Warehouse and Sudco said I’m SOL, so it looks like it’s time for a replacement.

2008年4月1日 · the FMF SST is a top end race pipe the fatty is more of a low to mid pipe. What year YZ125 is it. You probably did lose power down low with the SST but gained it up top as they are made for the fast 125 rider. Two different pipes for different types of power delivery.

2014年1月30日 · Stank recommended changing the stock 38mm Mikuni with a 36mm Keihin from a yz250. His reasoning was the 38mm was too big for the yz125 and would bog down hard in the bottom end. He said the 36mm fixed that problem night and day. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 05 yz125 came with the 38mm Mikuni tmx right?

2006年8月17日 · Seeing I have 2 spare sets of wheels for my current old YZ250F, it’s a positive for buying a YZ125 (New, or almost) I was just trying to confirm that the YZ125 hadn’t upgraded to the bigger axles Just a slow old guy trying to have some fun. (They have a 125cc class at my club, so I could double my days racing! - “Vets” and “125 C”.)

2018年4月23日 · Just did a top end at 30 hours. Had quite a bit of blow by so I’m going to be shortening my next top end interval. Getting mixed opinions on if the bike was running rich or lean.
