2022年4月22日 · I have had 5 hip replacement or major revision surgeries, without such serious issues, but I did have outer thigh pain for a time on one side. Like your doc, my surgeon said "the hip is perfect" - that is their area of expertise/concern. A number of other people get the same response when complaining about pain, tightness, etc after joint surgery.

2024年3月3日 · I had a hip replacement 4 months ago and from the day after surgery I have horrible pain in my upper front thigh/groin area. Come to find out the surgeon fractured my femur but didn’t tell us, I found out a month after when I ended up in the er with horrible pain they thought was an infection in the hip, they found the fracture in a ct scan.

2023年6月4日 · Your comments reassure me. I, too, have thigh pain in the repaired hip, a year after surgery. I suspect it is muscular. My foot also swells from time to time. I had pulmonary emboli and am on anti-coagulants now for the rest of my life. Its a journey, right folks!

2015年12月30日 · The first weeks after my surgery the worst pain was in my thigh. The PT told me it was probably due to nerves that were cut and have to refire. I am now 7 weeks post op.The thigh pain is down to a dull ache. I experience hip joint pain during the night and have started taking a Tylenol Pm and a regular Tylenol before bed.

2022年4月22日 · I had right hip replacement 5 years ago. Not a lot of pain after surgery. However, in the last two years pain, not in my groin where is was before surgery, but in my side hip and down my thigh. I have 15 inside stairs in my house and have trouble going up and down now. We thought it was bursitis and I have had a few injections into that site.

I’ve had a hip replacement & rev., my mom had a hip replacement 7 or 8 yrs ago. She has pain in her thigh as well. I had it briefly, off & on. Her Dr. told her it was from the stem…hers was a little longer than what they had intended to use…but they used what they had & that is what they say is causing her pain

Anterior approach, first few months went well but now I’m experiencing a burning and tingling feeling at the incision sight to the middle of the thigh. Top of hip feels tight most days and side is numb. In October I came down with chronic hives and a B6 toxicity and diagnosed with Hashimoto.
