2009年4月29日 · PS paints contain additives that make them resistant to some thinners, and cleanup would have to be done with acetone. You can possibly still find the PC paints which should work with the normal X-20A thinner. No, don't use water. Use isopropyl alcohol or Tamiya X-20A acrylic thinner or proper airbrush cleaning solution.

2014年10月29日 · Re blending, you can easily blend any paints in jars. I have built quite a few tanks and always make custom colours for them. In terms of thinning them, the goal for airbrushes is the texture of milk. Typically this is 30-50% Tamiya X/XF paint and then either Acryllic Thinner (or if using the slightly chalky XF paints try Tamiya Laquer Thinner).

I used to use Tamiya spray primers but now due to logistics and cost, uses Mr Surfacer. 2. Sand between coats, I don't do that but good model maker does. This brings out the shine.

2011年11月15日 · Tamiya paints are very good, and the flat colours work well with a brush straight out of the bottle. But for the camo on the FAV, you're best off using an airbrush or TS spray cans to do it. Airbrushing the acrylics will look just as good as the TS sprays.

The only reason I'd dabble with the Auto paints is for greater color options (especially for blue - as my LHS only has French blue, blue, light metallic blue and metallic blue.)
