2018年7月18日 · You have a package unit, but bad txv on indoor coil will stop liquid flow. Suction pressure drops, head pressure drops because liquid backs up in condenser. Fan running drops liquid condenser temp and pressure Remove and heat the txv bulb while watching pressures. Valve should open, cool buld, valve should close. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2020年6月10日 · After failing to get to temp for weeks, tech (35 years in business) states is a TXV valve after monitoring feedback on his system and while adding refrigerant. States hard for most new techs to diagnose properly. States valve probably not fully stuck in our case, but definitely is faulty. Suggests we get a leak test prior to valve replacement.

2024年4月23日 · The TXV valve bangs and then clicks for a while and then once it stops the furnace turns on appropriately as the thermostat is calling for heat. The outside a/c unit has a cover on in the winter. The banging of the TXV valve only occurs during the winter and when the temperature is above 30 degrees.

2016年6月1日 · Last fall a professional HVAC contractor installed a new Carrier 4 ton condenser and 4 ton evaporator coil. I ran it for the first time this spring and the coils froze. The HVAC contractor diagnosed a malfunctioning (sticking) thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) and plans to inject a special lubricant into the system to fix the problem.

The easiest way to draw this is as a close-coupled system using a single by-flow TXV in the liquid line between the condenser coil and the evaporator coil. 2006年7月16日 · My Sporlan TXV valve was installed in 1987 in my 3-4 ton Lennox Central Air Conditioner. The valve top is red-ornage colored and has the number "88" on its top. The bottom where the valve is usually adjusted is attached to the evaporator coil intake.
