Sarala Birla (23 November 1923 – 28 March 2015) [1] was an Indian Businesswoman prominent member of the Birla family of Indian industrialists. She took interest in public education and, along with her husband, is credited with having co-founded about 45 educational institutions supported by her family's conglomerate.

2015年3月29日 · Kolkata: Industrialist Basant Kumar Birla's wife Sarala passed away in New Delhi on Saturday. She was 90 and is survived by her husband and two daughters, Jayshree Mohta and Manjushree Khaitan, and grandson Kumar Mangalam Birla. She lost her son, Aditya, at a relatively young age.
