Quarteira is a coastal civil parish, located along the southern extent of the Algarve fronting Albufeira Municipality to the west (in the parish of Olhos de Água). Due to its location, it is popular for holidaymakers who wish a taste of slow-paced living in a quiet town but close enough not only the coastline gems in Algarve.
