Błędów Desert (Polish: Pustynia Błędowska), is an area of sands and gravels located between Błędów (part of Dąbrowa Górnicza in Metropolis GZM) and the villages of Chechło and Klucze in Poland.

2021年9月15日 · The Błędowska Desert stretches from Dąbrowa Górnicza in the west to the Klucze commune in the east (Lesser Poland and Silesia). It is 10 kilometers long and 4 kilometers wide. There are several places where you can watch the desert.

Pustynia Bledowska, also dubbed the 'Polish Sahara' is the only genuine desert-like area not only in Poland, but in Europe. Surprisingly, this 12-square-mile sand stretch of unique desert qualities is just an hour drive away from Krakow. The legend has it, that the desert was created from the Baltic Sea sand.

This is probably the last place you would expect to find a desert. And yet it is! The Błędowska Desert, straddling the border between the Silesian and Małopolska Voivodeships, is the largest area of shifting sands in Poland and one of the largest in Europe.

Bledowska Desert is the only natural dessert in Europe. An Oscar-nominated Polish film "Pharaon" was shot here. The dessert is 4 kilometres wide and 10 kilometres long. The sand was brought and accummulated here by the waters of a meltic glacier.
