Can someone please explain the difference PO2 and PaO2?
2009年4月10日 · The x-axis is PO2. In the discussion, they state "it describes the relationship between the sat of Hb and the patrial pressure of (PO2) in the blood. 2018年12月11日 · I have read several articles, with opposing statements about PO2 and aging. My understanding is that PO2 decreases with age. I have seen different formulas for calculating the PO2 reduction, that basically end up with the same value. The simplest formula l have seen is: Normal PaO2 (at sea level)= 100 mm Hg - the number if years over age 40.

2006年1月28日 · Also the curve is a sigmoid curve which tells you that very quickly a high PO2 will minutely affect the CaO2. 90/60 is for a healthy patient, in a compromised patient it may be 90/40, etc depending on how the patient's disease process has shifted the curve and ultimately affecting CaO2. CaO2 = (1.36 x Hb x SaO2/100) + (PO2 x 0.003)
