Newt is the name WCKD gave to him. His real name is revealed in the book The Fever Code. It’s one of the prequels to the original trilogy. James Dashner also reveals Thomas’s real name. We also learn one other character’s real name but I don’t want to spoil anything. So let me know if you want me to just tell you.

2021年4月2日 · According to Fever Code, (the 2nd prequel) Newt was entered at the same time as Alby, Minho and Gally, along with some other boys. In the movie, they say that Alby was the first, but dont specify a specific order afterwards. I reckon Newt would have been one of the earliest in the films though.

2021年5月23日 · Yeah, I was literally sobbing in the end of the movie. Once I learned that Thomas Brodie-Sangster himself wrote the letter and was reading it to Dylan off-screen (when Thomas reads Newt’s letter scene) it was very emotional for me lol, I believe it shows the connection of the actors with the characters and it’s just fascinating.
