2017年3月6日 · My experience with the NSG370 6-speed is generally good. Recognized as a fairly strong transmission when used properly. It doesn't like slamming gears or fast insistent shifts, especially from 1st to 2nd. Much smoother and less notchy in higher gears. Weakness is from 4 areas: 1. If you don't put it all the way into 1st or Rev.

2021年11月2日 · going to need to rebuild, replace or upgrade before long. im aware of one upgrade tr-4050 which looks like an awesome, but expensive option. one shop ball parked a rebuild between $2-3k which is better on price, but still pricey. anyone have a reputable source for used transmissions online?

2023年12月21日 · A brand new AX15HD is probbaly cheaper than rebuilding the junk NSG370. Asian beefed up the AX15 in 2000 (same year jeep quit using it and went to the NV3550). The AX15 will still be shifting in 200k a rebuilt NSG370 will probably be done for in less than 100K i would not waste the money on a rebuild.

2019年10月21日 · Interesting point. I've seen published capacities of the NSG370, ranging from 1.6 qts to 1.9: The Novak Guide to the Jeep NSG370 Transmission It seems that the official Chrysler spec is 1.6 quarts, while the capacity is 1.9.

2018年1月27日 · If you have the NSG370 6-speed in your 2005 Wrangler the B&M #45195 should fit, and be an easier install than in a JK. Here's a thread: B and M Shifter 45195 in 2006 TJ - Rubicon Owners Forum The shifter stick (#46200) will also fit the 2005-2006 TJ with the NSG370. They are two separate aftermarket parts, but can be used together.

Hoping to get some input as to how much it'll take to fix the tranny and if it's worth doing so or should I be looking into swaps. There's been numerous threads that say the nsg370 isn't very reliable. Thanks in advance!
