Early-type galaxies in low-density environments: NGC 6876 …
2019年6月14日 · We present the results of a photometric study of the early-type galaxy NGC 6876 and the surrounding globular cluster (GC) system. The host galaxy is a massive elliptical, the brightest of this type in the Pavo Group. According to its intrinsic brightness (Mv ∼ −22.7), it is expected to belong to a galaxy cluster instead of a poor group.
The Globular Cluster System of the Galaxy NGC 6876 - MDPI
2017年7月25日 · In this work, we present preliminary results for the study of the GC system of NGC 6876, including the color-magnitude diagram, the color distribution, and the spatial, radial and azimuthal distribution for both the entire system and the presumed sub-populations.

2013年5月14日 · There's a very interesting little galaxy in this area called NGC 6872 which is a spiral that has been disrupted by its neighbour so has very long and diffuse spiral arms. It lies about 220 million light years away so it's pretty small, and ancient! I managed to get 5 hours of data made up of 60 X 300sec exposures by a Canon 1000D (modded).
