LOPA's Core Purpose is Making Life Happen. As the organ procurement organization for Louisiana, we help save lives, restore health and enhance medical care through organ and tissue donation.

LOPA collaborates with hospitals, parish coroners, funeral homes, researchers, and driver’s education professionals in support of our Core Purpose, Making Life Happen. These strong partnerships help us provide quality care and education throughout the donation process.

Anyone can be a potential donor, regardless of age, race, medical history or HIV status. All major religions support organ, tissue and eye donation and see it as a final act of love and generosity towards others.
