2021年10月10日 · Light seems to play such a large part in liminal space photography and I really appreciate you clarifying that for me, vanishing points with light due to over-exposure works amazingly in creating that feeling of a “Never ending” corridor or Mall for example or dark corners that you can’t make out the contents of keep you on edge.

2022年1月25日 · Space is a medium, it acts as any other object. Therefore, you have to see it. Off the top of my head, one of the most accurate uses of liminal space is the shot of the beloved hallway in The Shining. Wherever space is used as the prime medium or when other objects in the shot are used to stress it—is liminal space.

Lighting can play a big part in liminal images, and the time of day is the first and one of the most immediately recognisable forms of lighting in a liminal context. Nighttime is the main one, being that transitional limbo in which places are empty - between uses - and in stasis.
