2022年9月30日 · This picture just made me realize the Doom 64 version is probably the most well-balanced one. I love Doom 2016 and Eternal but the designs of the Imp are really try-hard. Doom 3 is just whatever, Doom is classic but Doom 64 is both scary and looking like a "regular" entry-level Doom monster

Now that you mention it I do see the Doom 3 imp a bit in its silhouette. The new Mancubus reminded me of its Doom 3 incarnation (especially with its color scheme) plus the Hell Knight now resembles its Doom 3 form even closer. Wouldn’t mind seeing more Doom 3 designs referenced/updated in this new game as I feel a lot of them are slept on

Doom Eternal was stretching the vision of 2016 as far as it can go, incorporating the "chess" aspect into using certain guns for certain scenarios. Looks the Dark Ages will take the "chess" aspect even deeper, with us having what appear to be a parry system with the shield (maybe to enable Glory Kills?)

2020年9月10日 · Hey all. Played through UN 3 times in Doom Eternal and then went onto try Doom 2016 and I've developed a real love-hate relationship with this game. I like it because its doom and nothing beats doom and the soundtrack, visuals, voice acting and look is on point. But man, UN isn't even really fun there and I stopped doing it after a while.

As the sillymakerarcade said in a comment, the summoner is more elegant while the Harvester looks more decrepit looking. Which now leaves us with the Imp, which I’m already starting to think that it is another highly evolved sub-genus of that demon.
