This 1985 Ibanez XV500 is one of them. There are a lot of guitar stories in the BigCity. A lot of them come with names like Gibson and Fender and a lot of people follow them around like mindless lemmings, genuflecting at the sound of the names.

2025年1月18日 · This XV500 is so rare that many Ibanez collectors do not even know that it exists. It is hard to capture the beauty of the finish, but it starts lighter blue on the bass side and then bursts to a darker blue on the treble side of the body.

2025年1月28日 · Modified to add a third humbucker, and 3 coil split switches. Pickups were replaced with Seymour Duncans, and a third humbucker added. There are pickup-splitting switches and the pickup selector switch is a three-way. Strap buttons were changed from a 'V' shape to a round shape. Own an XV500.

This Ibanez X-series XV500 in "Violet halfburst" is from the "be careful not to impale yourself" school of guitar design. It has Ibanez V5 pickups and an incomplete Ibanez "Pro Rock R" tremolo system.
