Some/many TVs have a HDMI/DVI port that accepts either HDMI or a DVI-through-HDMI-adapter. On such port, the audio comes from the RGB/DVI Audio-in. So... It should be possible to use a simple DVI-to-HDMI adapter in addition to a standard audio cable. No expensive or bulky adapters needed. References:

2011年11月3日 · DVI to HDMI adapters are for video only. If converting HDMI to DVI, you will loose any audio sent from a HDMI source. If the source was DVI and you are converting to HDMI, there would be no audio there anyway. Also as a note, HDMI to DVI and DVI to HDMI are just adapters, the two sockets are electrically pin compatible and nothing "smart" happens.

The fact that DVI is electrically compatible with HDMI doesn't change the fact that most DVI ports will not be able to give audio data. As you may have surmised, this is a feature of the graphics card that needs to be present on the DVI port, allowing it to render audio.

If not, get a card that does. If you have a sound system, you can just output the sound from the computer directly to that and let the DVI run video only.

HDMI and DVI are both digital video signals. The advantage of using HDMI over DVI is that HDMI carries both audio and video over a single cable and for DVI you will need to run two cables one for the video and another one for audio. HDMI is the latest as far as technology goes and all the digital video splitter, extender, matrix solutions are HDMI.
