Dan Verssen Games is a freelance game design company with an industry-wide reputation for creating easy to learn, fun to play, flavorful games. Here is how we earned it... Dan Verssen Games began, as you might expect, as simply Dan Verssen. Dan began modifing games in the early 80's while in High School, much to the irritation of his friends.

Since then, Dan has designed quite a few games including: Hornet Leader, Thunderbolt+Apache Leader, The 4 Down In Flames games, The Star Trek Collectible Dice Game, The 7th Sea CCG, The Corellian Smuggler and Indiana Jones games for Shadis Magazine, Road Kill for Avalaon Hill, The 2 Flagship games, 2 Bratz boardgames, and Naval Battles.

Dan Verssen Games (DVG) in Glendora, California, was founded by the award-winning war board games creator and designer Dan Verssen. He realized his passion for game design in the 1980s, while developing new rules and modifications to existing game products of that time such as Dungeons & Dragons and Traveler.

We began our game design adventure back in 1988 when our first game, Modern Naval Battles, was published by World Wide Wargames (3W). We continued to design games for most of the major game companies in the industry for the next thirteen years.
